Eros the god of love, has been seduced by a glamazon greek goddess in white with flowing golden locks and a bold stance...
Feminine, zesty, floral, fragrant, bright and glistening
Sicilian lemon, Calabrian bergamot, Pomegranate, Jasmine Sambac, peony, sandalwood, amber, musk
The thing about Versace perfumes for me is that they are all pleasant, feminine, people pleasers and not much else. They are never not distasteful or nasty, well with the exception of Versus (I did not love that one), but they are also never unique, or breathtaking or marvelous! While Versace is such a fashion powerhouse with the Versace woman embodying such an irresistible sexiness and innate style, much like its queen Donatella, who lends this ideology so effortlessly and consistently into every stunning piece on the runway and stores, one would imagine (and expect) the same Versace woman to smell as distinguished and glamorous as she looks! Somehow completely contrary to that, all we seem to get with each new launch is another generic white floral with moderate longevity. Versace Eros pour femme is a fairly aromatic citrus-floral blend with soft woods in the base. I do wish to give a special mention to the bottle. The juice comes encased in a stunning gold flanker that almost looks and feels precious. However, it does not salvage the fact that Eros pour femme could have been so much more than just a zesty fruit meets sparkly citrus meets pretty florals….
All in all its a slightly over-the-top grab-eyeballs type of a presentation for a not so spectacular scent.
