All I can think of is broken red wine bottles, a femme fatale, clad in blood coloured velvet, her prowess lays in combat, and she leaves no survivors...she is not a dominatrix but she seduces dangerously and should you get on the wrong side of this angel with horns, she will slay...
Bulgarian rose, vanilla, patchouli
To some this might sound as a striking or an unlikely almost unexpected likeness to a scent or aroma but to me Lady Vengeance creates a distinct olfactive memory of the famous South Asian "paan" which is a preparation combining betel leaf with areca nut and sometimes also with tobacco. It is chewed for its stimulant and psychoactive effects....and that exactly sums up this deeply intoxicating and stimulating scent This Francis Kurkdjian creation opens with a juicy sweet cloud that wraps you up in a dark almost thorny rose. Theres smoke but no fire, as it remains tame and not wild thanks to the earthiness of patchouli and a balmy softness courtesy of vanilla accords. An addictive and seductive fragrance thats so perfect when you want to work the crowd, and compel every eye in the room to be on you and every head to be turned towards you.
Wear it....well its obvious isn't it? (when you want to slay that hot date...duh)
Think pink bubbly, sugar candies, white roses and pink peonies, girly giggles, however not petite fille but a woman child, innocent and sweet, filled with zest and charming with her warmth and freshness....
Rose with citruses, strawberries, jasmine, orange blossom and amber, musk and vanilla
This quintessential feminine scent opens with an effervescent citrus opening thats not sharp, and gives way to candied fruits. The uplifting freshness immediately brings to my mind, Miss Dior Cherie and Versace Bright Crystal but this one triumphs for me owing to its well blended floral fruity vibe thats sophisticated, warm and not cloying. Its a zingy concoction of nectarous strawberry accords that makes the core of this elixir so special. Vibrance of jasmine lends its distinct warm-cool nuance., and ornage blossom adds an intoxicating freshness which all softened by the decadent vanilla. I particularly love the interplay of a fresh pink rose with the amber-musky facet that gives this scent its great sillage.
Upon the first spray I was immediately taken back to my childhood as I remembered a rich and intoxicating french perfume, name unknown my mother used to wear for many years. It is this quality that also makes me love this scent. So even though I may not necessarily buy this scent to wear it myself but it would definitely be my gift to my mother this mother's day!
Wear it...when you are out for a brunch with your favourite girls, mums included!
